- Rick Ravanello started his acting career back in 1996. He earned numerous television and film roles which eventually led to an audition that landed in the hands of Steven Spielberg of Dreamworks SKG.
Spielberg quickly had Ravanello flown to Los Angeles where he met with Tom Hanks and Tony To. They discussed an upcoming project titled "Band of Brothers". Ravanello did not film the mini-series but Spielberg offered him a deal to star in an upcoming Dreamworks television project.
After his arrival in L.A., he earned a role in Hart's War (2002), in which he worked alongside Bruce Willis in Prague, Czech Republic. "The Cave" put him back onscreen with fellow "Hart's War" actor and friend Cole Hauser a couple of years later. Ravanello proved himself to be a very versatile performer with a range from character roles to the leading man.
The eldest son of Richard and Katherine Ravanello, the actor has three younger brothers, Chris, Lawrence, and the late Michael. (Michael sustained a brain injury back in 1994, which has left him hospitalized until his death.)
Ravanello supports many charitable groups including those that support The United States Military to those supporting cancer patients and their families. He loves to play golf and is an avid martial arts practitioner, with Muay Thai being a particular favorite. - Actor

Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, Joe MacLeod grew up on the road touring with his parents and their band. Performing from a very young age, he got his start in the local theatre scene in Nova Scotia and then went to study acting in Calgary, Alberta, at Mount Royal College. It was there he developed his craft doing musical theatre and also developed his love for film and television doing stand-in work on feature films. In 2001, he moved to Vancouver and officially began his film and television career with a small role in Steven Spielberg's Taken (2002). He resides in Toronto, making frequent trips to both L.A. and Vancouver.- Stephen Arbuckle is a Canadian born actor who began his performing arts career in theatre in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Growing up in Donkin, a small community sitting on the edge of the Cape Breton Island coastline, he decided early on that a career in fishing was definitely not in the cards (although he enjoys it), and to grow as an actor he would leave home to pursue a career in film and television.
In 2003 Arbuckle moved to Toronto where he landed the lead roll in the short film Todd and the Book of Pure Evil. This experience opened doors for Arbuckle to secure spots in dozens of national and international commercials for heavy hitters like Sony, BMW, Coors Light, and Pepsi.
Arbuckle continued to pursue interesting and challenging roles that would provide invaluable experience along the way. These opportunities also provided a platform to work with some of the most accomplished television and film stars of today such as Viggo Mortensen, David Cronenberg and Michael Madson.
2010 was a pivotal year for Arbuckle, securing a role as a regular on ABC's Happy Town alongside Sam Neil and Steven Weber. Also in 2010, he filmed a guest spot on the pilot of CBS's Blue Bloods with Donnie Wahlburg and Tom Selleck and then coming full-circle, back to his origins in film, Arbuckle began shooting to appear as a regular on the Todd and the Book of Pure Evil series on the Space Channel.
When not working Arbuckle likes to stay up on emerging talent coming from Cape Breton. An increasing number of musicians, comedians, actors, and film industry professionals from his home on the east coast are stopping in Toronto and Arbuckle takes every chance to get out and support them and their work. - Marguerite McNeil was born on 21 January 1935 in Glace Bay, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada. John Allan Cameron was one of Canada's musical greats; his pioneering work with traditional Scottish Gaelic tunes played on a twelve-string guitar led him to be called the "Godfather of Gaelic music" in Canada. His popularity and fame grew to the extent that he was known worldwide, and his 1970 appearance at the Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville was long remembered--he appeared in a kilt with two other musicians playing traditional tunes; instead of staying for the two minutes originally allotted, he captivated the crowd to the extent that he was on stage a full fifteen minutes.- Actor

The following are edited details from the best seller book by Mitchell Zukoff, "Lost in Shangri-La": Alexander Cann was the eldest child of H.V. Cann, prominent banker and Mabel Ross Cann. Moved to Canada and then Manhattan, where the elder Cann helped launch the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; the family returned 7 years later to Canada where Alex Cann attended the Royal Naval College of Canada. He returned to New York to study at Columbia University. Lacking a job, and having gambled away his inheritance on poker, he drifted to Hollywood. Being tall, dark and handsome, with a deep voice, he found his way into movie roles, as Alexander Cross, then Cann.where he had roles in "Fury", a Spencer Tracy film; in "Smart Blonde" with Glenda Farrell; and in "China Clipper", starring his drinking buddy, Humphrey Bogart. In 1937, again with Bogart starring, he had a part in "San Quentin". He landed bigger acting jobs including a western "Law for Tombstone"; and finally, played the bad guy, Black Jack Carson in the Hopalong Cassidy series of films. In 1937, Cann as a ladies man and a gambler became involved in a scandal with a socialite that made headlines effectively ending his film career; he had one more film playing the lead in "The Human Bomb" in 1939. By 1941, Cann had no job, had married and divorced 3 times. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy. Blown out of the troop ship on its way to the South Pacific in 1943, and with a broken back he recuperated in Australia. A gifted storyteller, Cann convinced someone in the Canadian Navy that he was a filmmaker and they loaned Cann to the Australia section of the Netherlands Information Service. He covered combat in the Philippines and Borneo and was again blown out of the water by a kamikaze pilot in the Gulf of Leyte. News stories were appearing about the tragedy of several planes going down in flames in New Guinea, filled with Army personnel including WACs, most of whom died in the crashes; some survivors were reported stranded there. Cann surveyed the crash sites and requested a plane and a parachute at the Sentani airstrip. Completely untrained the erstwhile filmmaker drank a fifth of gin and prepared to jump telling the crew to push him out at the "go" signal if needed and said "I'm only going to do this once". He was found dumped in some bushes by crash survivors, "drunk as a loon". He proceeded to make a film of the crash treks by the survivors, "staging" some of scenes and included the Stone Age natives who gathered around them. Eventually, the 15 surviving victims, including Cann were rescued with a daring glider snatch in 1945. Alexander Cann's real life had been more dramatic than any of his film roles; he resembled the filmmaker John Huston, also a son of a wealthy and famous man who drifted into wild adventures in his youth. After 1945, Cann edited his New Guinea film into an 11-minute documentary called "Rescue from Shangri-La", including the glider rescue. In 1949-1971 he once again had acting roles in films and TV series. He married a 4th time and had 3 children.- Producer
